Dr. Edenson recommends dental implants to replace missing posterior teeth whenever possible and under dentures when applicable.

Dental implants are tiny titanium posts which are surgically placed into the bone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium posts, which act as tooth root substitutes and create a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts or attachments are then connected to the implant, which protrude through the gums. These posts or attachments provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.
